Skin Graft, Dental Implant, and Crown

This patient had a missing tooth with bone loss, as can be seen by the concavity in the gum. He did not want a soft tissue procedure to improve the soft tissue shape. He opted for an alternative skin graft from a bottle. The implant was placed, and the graft was placed. Dr Pedro Fiuza then used a 3D tooth scanner to order a custom-made ceramic tooth. The x-rays show digital planning to allow accurate and optimal placement of the implant so that it can shoulder the maximal load placed on the crown. The first x-ray shows the digital planning, while the second x-ray shows the final result.

Positioning and Composite Bonding

This lady was referred to address her uneven gum position prior to composite bonding by Dr CF. The gums are the backdrop to a beautiful even smile. Addressing the gums first allows the teeth to have an even and symmetrical proportion when either composite bonding or veneers are done afterwards.

Composite Bonding

Patient had composite bonding elsewhere which was badly chipped and discoloured. The work was also hard to clean as there were multiple ledges under the bonding. We decided to remove the old work and replace it with new composite bonding. The aim of the treatment was to ensure we built the teeth in a way which matched the smile, looked natural and was easy to maintain.

Positioning and Discolouration

This client was dissatisfied with the shape of her upper right canine tooth and had previously had composite bonding.

To address the issue, we aligned the lower teeth to create space and applied composite bonding to the upper canine and lateral incisors to balance the shapes after some professional teeth whitening.

Denture supported by Implants

Suffering from years of severe gum disease resulted in the teeth drifting and becoming crowding. This gentleman felt uncomfortable with his smile. The problems had persisted for so long that there was limited bone left. A denture supported by implants was deemed to the best option.

Black Triangles

Patient was due to get married and was concerned about the black spaces between his upper front teeth (black triangles).

This can be due to previous gum disease, recession or general tooth shape.

In this case we treated using composite resin and a bioclear matrix to fill in this space and achieve a natural contour to the teeth.

Closing Spaces

For this case we moved the top teeth to close the space followed by some light whitening and a bit of composite to smooth a worn edge.

This lady was wearing a denture for many years that she was trying to hold in with denture glue. It kept moving and this affected her confidence to communicate during her exhibitions as she is an artist. She was worried about having treatment because she wasn’t sure if she could manage it. We help her through the stages until she was rewarded with fantastic smile with teeth that don’t move anymore.

Ideally we would use orthodontics to move the lower teeth so this tooth could match it’s partner, something to consider in the future.

Front tooth implant supported crown

This lady had a root fracture of the central incisor, with pus coming out of the gum. She wanted an implant supported tooth and not have a gap at any time of the process. This was challenging as she has a high smile line and due to her busy schedule could not have multiple visits. All the procedures were delivered in one visit. This was made possible by using x-guide and waterlase technology.

This lady had a missing tooth which she wanted to replace with, and implant supported solution. She also wanted to take the opportunity to address the appearance of the other front three teeth. This can be challenging when lots of different procedures need to be carried out especially with a high lip where everything is on display. Here a laser guided implant placement using waterlase and x-guide, composite bonding, and a crown were created for the new smile. The end a seamless natural result which markedly enhances the tired smile.

This lady was struggling with failing teeth and implants which caused an embarrassment to smile as well as difficulty with eating choices. She felt that she looked after her appearance well but that her smile did not reflect this. She had little bone left but we were still able to place implants and give her a fix bridge which is attached to the implants. Now her smile reflects her outer appearance.

Resolving a deep bite and some significant anterior crowding. There was no desire for bonding or further cosmetic enhancement so we kept it simple.
